Favorite Fall Projects

The oogly blog is a parenting resource designed to help inspire creativity in children. "Like" us on facebook so you won't miss out on other great ideas for you and your kids. https://www.facebook.com/ooglykit

If you’ve been following our oogly blog for a while, you probably know that we spent some time this summer and fall gathering found objects in the yard, the garden and the woods nearby. It’s fun to use all these bits and pieces as accessories on sculptures and as textures pressed into clay. But I’m also enjoying the ideas I’ve found around the blogosphere for fun fall crafts that use your natural treasures.

This idea from Paint Cut Paste is the perfect project for little people – just consider the scale of candles made in acorn caps.

This project from Artful Parent combines the little leaves you find in brilliant colors this time of year with one of my other favorite collectibles – smooth, rounded stones. I think these would make a great addition to an autumnal centerpiece.
This  last project from The Chocolate Muffin Tree appeases my need to enjoy fall for a while rather than rushing onto the “big winter holiday.” Instead of pulling out the Christmas garland so soon, go ahead and deck the halls with a fall leaf garland. You can bring color and festivity into your home without rushing the season.
What’s your favorite fall project?
