Keeping Cool with the Kids

This weather just doesn’t want to give us a break. Today is going to be another scorcher. To help you out I’m sharing links today to some of the coolest ideas I’ve found over the last few weeks to beat the heat.
I particularly like the kiddie carwash from handmade charlotte. You can build it in the cool shade of your garage or inside and then turn on the tap to cool off outside.

For more ideas with the sprinkler, check out this round-up of ideas from Having Fun at Home. If you don’t have a pool nearby or you just want an easier option you can do in your own yard or driveway, you’ll love these ideas.

Sponge water bombs from House of Hepworth's would be another fun project to put together inside and then take outside. You can use ice cold water to “load” the bombs and play all sorts of games to keep cool and burn off some energy.

Finally, there are lots of variations on the painting with ice cube project but I thought the pictures from the Chocolate Muffin Tree did a great job illustrating the process and the outcome. It doesn’t get much cooler than ice.

Ahhh, I remember ice and snow and somehow, I miss it right now!
