Another Way to Play with Sand

This weekend it’s all about sand at Wonderscope Museum’s first annual Sand in the City KC event. We’ll be there playing with clay at Wonderscope on Saturday so come by and join us as we make ooglys with all the kids. You’ll also be able to play in the sand and see the fabulous sand sculptures that are being built today by corporate teams from across Kansas City.
If you can't make it to Sand in the City - you can still play at home!
But – in case you can’t make it to Wonderscope, we thought we’d share this Sandpaper Rubbing activity from the folks at playbasedlearning. You probably have all the supplies you need in the basement or the garage. Plus, if you’re like us, you’ll enjoy using sandpaper for this project far more than the last furniture refinishing job you did!

Enjoy and have a great weekend.
