Get Creative on a Monday!

Looking for some inspiration this morning? I’ve got a suggestion for how to use oogly in a different kind of activity today.

One way a lot of teachers use the oogly is as a jumping off point for creative writing with their students. The kids make ooglys – however they want – and then, they will write a short story or poem about their oogly.

For example – here’s an oogly who definitely has a story to tell. Wouldn’t you agree?
Lovely Belinda wears flowers on her hat
Belinda loves flowers and she loves spring. When flowers start to bloom, she wants to wear them. Today, she wore a flower on her best hat.

The stories can be simple or advanced – it depends on the kids and the time you have for the activity. So today – have the kids make an oogly and tell a story. It’s a great way to get the creative juices flowing.
